Dr Mohammad Amin is a Consultant Cardiologist / Cardiac Electrophysiologist and Head of Electrophysiology Department at Mohamed bin Khalifa Specialist Cardiac Centre in Bahrain. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University, after which he completed his internship and residency in Bahrain. Dr Amin completed his Internal medicine qualification and became member of the Royal College of physician in UK. He pursued further training at the University of British Columbia, Canada where he completed Cardiology and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowships. He is currently Board certified in Cardiac Electrophysiology and Cardiac Devices by the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners and a Fellow of Heart Rhythm Society.

His clinical practices involve general cardiology with special focus on management of heart rhythm disorder both invasive and non-invasive along with electronic cardiac devices implantation and follow up. Since his return he is focusing on performing catheter ablation with near zero fluoroscopy, Atrial fibrillation ablation, and complex device implantation. He also established the Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion program in Bahrain and member of the structural Heart intervention team performing percutaneous Mitral Valve repair, Trans catheter Valve implant, etc.

His research interest is minimizing radiation exposure during catheter ablation of arrhythmia, and he is the principal investigator of AALARA a multi-center, international study assessing impact of routine use 3-D mapping to perform Supra Ventricular Tachycardia Ablation with minimal fluoroscopic exposure. He has numerous publications in both General cardiology and Electrophysiology including being the local investigator of the INTERHEART study, QUADRA MP-ME Study, GULF-ACTION study, and PEACE-MENA study.
